Supporting people with disabilities
For over 10 years, Maison Johanès Boubée has been committed to the employment of people with disabilities.
Its activities in this field focus on five areas:
- Support for people with disabilities,
- Maintaining employment and securing career paths,
- Collaboration with vocational centre for disabled workers (ESATs) and disability employers (EAs),
- Helping employees register as disabled workers,
- Communication, awareness-raising and training initiatives on the various forms of disability.

Equality at work
A professional equality index is compulsory for all companies with more than 50 employees. This tool enables companies to measure their progress in terms of the gender pay gap between employees of equal age and position. A company must achieve a minimum score of 75 points out of 100. Otherwise, it must implement corrective measures within three years or face penalties of up to 1% of its payroll.

“AGIR POUR UNE VITICULTURE RESPONSABLE”
Winegrowers are working alongside us to conserve the French viticultural landscape. Our two main own brands, La Cave d’Augustin Florent and Héritage de Carillan, have “Agir pour une viticulture responsable” certification, represented by a logo on the labels.
This shows that the wine comes from a vineyard that is helping to preserve the land for future generations: the winegrowers have signed up to a certified environmental approach.
It brings together several current agro-ecological approaches under a single logo:
HVE, Terra Vitis, Vignerons en Développement Durable, Engagé RSE, Agri Confiance.
Organic

PRODUCT TRANSPARENCY
The successor to the barcode is gaining ground. The aim is to meet the deadline for the new European wine labelling regulations and to prepare for the disappearance of traditional barcodes. Since September 2024, the QR code has enabled Carrefour branded wines to meet both challenges!

TACKLING WASTE: REUSE
As a major component of the Carrefour Group packaging reduction strategy, Maison Johanès Boubée is responding to this demand with our La Cave d’Augustin Florent brand, which offers three wines in red, white and rosé. This experiment is being carried out with the circular economy start-up Loop.

OUR CLIMATE TRAJECTORY
Maison Johanès Boubée is committed to tackling climate change and takes part in the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI), which commits companies to setting CO2 reduction targets to keep global warming below 2°C by 2100.
To contribute to this trajectory, MJB has made strong commitments to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions:
- 50% reduction in our direct emissions by 2030.
- 30% reduction in our indirect emissions by 2030.
Another commitment is to raise awareness of climate change among all our employees through workshops run by The Climate Fresk.

CONSEIL INTERPROFESSIONNEL DU VIN DE BORDEAUX (CIVB)
Maison Johanès Boubée is certified at level 3 for Sustainable Impact. This is the Bordeaux wine sector’s collective sustainability initiative. The CIVB represents the entire sector: winegrowers, merchants and brokers.
